Part of the public reference list

This page collects part of the public reference list. Each card shows not only the name of the project but also the practical task: strengthening structures, repairing concrete, waterproofing, protection or the performance of materials in demanding service conditions.

Office building, Tokyo, Japan — a project from the MPKM reference list
Administrative and office buildings · 2020

Office building, Tokyo, Japan

Materials for strengthening reinforced concrete structures with carbon laminates, fabrics and anchor spikes. The project shows the international reach of supply and the use of several elements of an externally bonded reinforcement system in a single solution.

Materials: Externally bonded carbon-fibre reinforcement: laminates, fabric, anchor spikes, epoxy resins and primers

Documents

Technical evidence

Documents that answer the two main questions about externally bonded reinforcement: durability and fire resistance.

NIIZhB named after A. A. Gvozdev · 2023

Durability of strengthened structures

A clarification from the lead research institute: where the requirements of SP 164 and SP 349 are met, the service life of a reinforced concrete structure is not reduced after strengthening with an externally bonded reinforcement system.

Fire safety

180 minutes of fire resistance

A certified solution with a fire protection coating over a structure strengthened with carbon laminates provides 180 minutes without loss of load-bearing capacity.

Testing

Test reports and conclusions

Technical approvals, test reports and documentation for the systems used by MPKM and Dipchel.
